IPv6 Support in Microsoft Products and Services

Since IPv6 was fully introduced in Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista, Microsoft has been working to support this next generation Internet protocol.
The tables below provide a summary view of the IPv6 support status of various products and services from Microsoft. Where available, links to additional information about the support state of the products have been included.
Further information about server products is available through our Common Engineering Criteria (CEC) . All server products are required to comply with a set of engineering requirements as part of the CEC program, which includes support for IPv6.

*Dual-stack support is an IPv6 transition technology and is a common method for providing clients with both IPv6 and IPv4 Internet connectivity. Dual-stack support indicates that an IPv6-enabled client has been fully tested and verified as able to connect with both IPv6 and IPv4 Microsoft services on the Internet with no perceivable loss of function or performance. Such clients are fully supported by all standard Microsoft support channels, even when the underlying services that enable those experiences remain IPv4 only.
